Ultromics
Summary
Ultromics is a medical AI company originating from research at the University of Oxford. It develops software that analyses routine echocardiograms, or cardiac ultrasound studies, to help clinicians identify heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) and screen for cardiac amyloidosis. Its work connects cardiovascular research, machine learning and clinical software delivery. Company overview.
Products and Clinical Focus
- EchoGo Heart Failure supports the identification of patients who may have HFpEF.
- EchoGo Amyloidosis screens echocardiograms for signals of cardiac amyloidosis.
The products analyse a standard cardiac ultrasound view and provide findings for clinical assessment. EchoGo products.
How the Platform Fits into Healthcare
Echo studies reach the platform through standard DICOM imaging workflows. Automated analysis returns findings to existing hospital systems, including picture archiving and communication systems (PACS), cardiovascular information systems (CVIS) and electronic medical records (EMR). This lets clinical teams review results within the tools they already use, with clinical decisions remaining with the physician. Platform overview.
Research and Clinical Collaboration
The technology grew from work at Oxford involving Ross Upton and Professor Paul Leeson. Ultromics also works with cardiovascular specialists at Mayo Clinic, and its products are used in US hospitals. Research and company background.
