Ultromics Clinical AI Platform and Automation

Problem Space

Ultromics builds clinical AI products for echocardiography. My work brings platform engineering, automation and AI-assisted operations together in that setting, alongside introducing agentic software engineering to the company.

My Contribution

As a part-time Platform Consultant and Platform Team Co-Lead, I co-lead six engineers and contribute hands-on to the company's platform and automation initiative.

Agentic software engineering

I am introducing Codex, Claude and custom harnesses into engineering practice. I am also setting up Microsoft Foundry, with protection of company intellectual property and control over exposure to hyperscaler services as design priorities.

Production incident investigation and monitoring

I built a chatbot to help debug production incidents and am using LLMs to monitor production. This applies the automation initiative to operational investigation and support as well as to software delivery.

Cloud platform engineering

I contribute to the cloud platform behind Ultromics' clinical AI products, combining TypeScript and Azure engineering with software delivery through GitLab CI/CD.

Tools & Stack

Business Outcomes
